SOLD — Original artwork
Falling Light captures the shifting relationship between sky, sea and light along an atmospheric coastline.
A dramatic expanse of cloud dominates the composition, with pale blues, soft greys and warm highlights suggesting sunlight filtering through changing weather. Below, the sea and wet shoreline reflect the subdued light, creating a sense of depth and quiet movement.
Built through layers of oil and acrylic, the painting combines expressive, textured passages with softer areas of blended colour. The boundary between sea and sky becomes deliberately ambiguous, allowing atmosphere and light to shape the composition.
The painting evokes a moment of stillness as weather passes across the coast, inviting the viewer to linger in the space between observation and abstraction.
